Who are you?

I am a almost 50yr old gamer who felt the need to write about gaming. This stemmed from not having many gamer friends and my only real gaming outlet, online discourse, turning very sour recently.

Why write about gaming?

I have gamed for almost 44yrs of my life. While I have no huge experience in the gaming industry directly, I have played games for a significant portion of my life. I predominantly game on PC but am interested in gaming as a hobby. I play a variety of games and although there are many games that are not in my wheelhouse, I enjoy giving games I would not usually play a go. Hades is an example of a genre that never really pulled me in but a game I really enjoyed.
